If you like home made stuff then Annie makes the finest pickled chillis, mixed olives and  infamous pickled eggs. We also serve up freshly prepared sandwiches and baguettes at the weekend. Ron goes down to the local bakery on Saturday morning to pick up the baked goods in time for opening at midday, while Annie boils the gammon, roasts the beef and prepares the salad for the hungry walkers destined to pass the pub.

We make sure that all the drinks we serve are well kept to preserve their original refreshing flavours. This means cleaning the lines thoroughly every week for all the ales and drinks on draught.

Serving up the finest ales, Harveys Sussex Best, Adnams Bitter, London Pride and our fortnightly changing guest ale.

The drinks on draught include Carlsberg, Kronenbourg, Bitburger, Strongbow and Guinness... and not to let any of the other draughts down it's apparently the best Guinness for miles!

If you're not a beer drinker then we do have a great selection of wines or even locally sourced Biddendens Cider to tickle your taste buds.

If you're driving or just not much of a drinker and would prefer something else to Lemonade or Coke then why not try one of the various flavours of J20s or locally sourced Biddendens Apple Juice.
